Resume (pdf) Anjali Sauthoff is a postdoctoral scientist at the Center for Sustainability and the Global Environment (SAGE) and the Energy Institute at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her interests span climate change, air pollution and public health. She is currently working with Dr. Paul Meier and Professor Tracey Holloway on a project that seeks to identify near-term strategies to reduce emissions of ozone precursors, particulate matter, and greenhouse gases resulting from heavy duty diesel vehicles (HDDV) used for Midwest freight transport. This work is supported by the National Center for Freight & Infrastructure Research & Education (CFIRE). Anjali earned her PhD in October 2008 from the Department of Environmental Health Sciences at the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University under Dr. Patrick Kinney. Her doctoral dissertation focused on the development of a land use regression model to estimate exposure to traffic-related elemental carbon in New York City for application in epidemiological studies. Prior graduate work includes a Masters degree in Neurobiology and Behavior from SUNY Stony Brook. Her undergraduate studies were done at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. |
