Mitch Myhre is a M.S. candidate in the Nelson Institutes Environment and Resources program with a certificate in Energy Analysis and Policy (EAP). His research interests center on current issues affecting the electric utility industry. Mitchs current research work is exploring bioenergy systems and the potential income impact bioenergy crops could have on Wisconsin farmers. Mitch is currently collaborating with other professionals from several diverse fields and using his accounting and finance expertise to perform a comprehensive analysis of this issue.
Prior to starting his graduate studies Mitch received B.S. degrees in accounting and in finance from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He also worked as a public accountant for 5 years and is a certified public accountant (CPA).
In his spare time Mitch enjoys hunting, fishing, exercising and working on his parents farm.
