Carmela is the Student Services Coordinator for the CHANGE IGERT (Certificate in Humans And the Global Environment-Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeship). She is currently a master’s candidate at Lakeland College in business administration. She has a craft/jewelry business with her husband Dan Schuknecht. When she isn’t working or studying, she enjoys spending her time gardening, making crafts, kayaking, hiking and camping. She is always interested in learning more about energy efficiency, renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, natural resource management and local food systems. She and Dan share their home with a wonderful cat named Jinx.
